24 Aug 2009 Chester-Le-Steet.
NESRA call to assist TWSMRT in a search for a missing 41 year old male in the Bournmoor area. Missing person . was located by member of public and received medical attention from TWSMRT until county ambulance arrived on scene.Conditions: Dark, light rain.

22 Aug 2009 Wansbeck Hospital
We where called at 22:00 for a 78 year old male missing from Wansbeck hospital.The team searched farm and open land near the hospital. A police vehicle located the gentleman near Widderington.Conditions: Dark, warm.

21 Aug 2009 Heighley Gate
Following a road traffic accident on the A1, a 82 year old male with a potential head injury left the scene. While the Team was searching the surrounding area, He was located at home by relatives.Conditions: Dry, warm.

13 Aug 2009 Whitley Bay
The Team was called out at 12:00 to search the area around St Marys Lighthouse for a missing 78 year old male Altheimers sufferer. The team was stood down at 16:00 when he was located by police in Durham.Conditions: Sunny, warm.

18 Jul 2009 Rothbury
06:30 Team placed on standby to assist in possible flood evacuation. Team stooddown around 9:00 when environment agency advise river levels had peaked.Conditions: Cloudy, heavy rain.

Injured 18year old male reported at the Auchope refuge hut. The overhead team advised helicopter or extraction from the north side by the Scottish Borders team Conditions: N/A -
01 Jul 2009 Jesmond Dene
We where called at 20:00 for 30year old female who had failed to return from a run A search of the Dene failed to locate her. The team was stood down around midnight when further information came to light indicating she was out of the area.Conditions: Light/Dark, warm.

The Team was called at 18:30 and asked to search along the banks of the river Wansbeck for a 43year old female. The area was searched with negative result.Conditions: Daylight, warm, sunny.

07 Apr 2009 Osmotherly
At 07.30 we received a NESRA call to RV at Osmotherly for a missing 47year old female. Cleveland SRT, 4 dogs from SARDA and a Sea King had spent all night looking with no result A SARDA dog had indicated at a moor / forest edge at around 0400hrs so the area was searched again during daylight. During the second search the woman was found behind a dry stone wall.Conditions: Daylight, cloudy.

At 19.00 we where notified of a 9 year old missing near Middleton Hall, Wooler. The missing person was found safe and well before the team arrived on site.Team stooddown at 19:30Conditions: Twilight, cloudy.

23.30 The overhead team was called by the police to Whickham police station to assist with a missing male who had been reported as going to chopwell woods The team was stood down at 24:00 when the the missing person was located by the police helicopter.Conditions: Dark, cloudy.

NESRA callout to York, to assist police investigating the disappearance of a 35 year old female. The team was tasked along with NNPMRT to cover the area around the university.Conditions: Dry, sunny.

21 Mar 2009 Cheviot
Callout for an experienced fellrunner who had set off on a long run on his own down the sides of the College Valley and around and on Cheviot. He left clear route details and a 'last time home of 18:00' which he had previously always been well within. Team called at 2100hrs RV Kirk Newton, his point of departure. Runner managed to get himself back under his own steam by 2130hrs.Conditions: Dark, cloudy,cold

At 05:30 the Team received a NESRA call to assist TWSMRT in a search for two children missing in the Kirkbridge area. The children where located safe and well at 08:30Conditions: First light, cold.

12 Feb 2009 Dalton
Team contacted at 0145hrs for a missing 17 year old male in the Dalton area Hexhamshire. Missing person had gone for a walk at approx 1500hrs the previous day and not been seen since. Farmland was searched by ground and helicopter. At 0320 the missing person was found dead on the south bank of Rowley Burn..Conditions: Dark, cold.
31 Jan 2009 Cheviots
We where called at 16:30 for 2 lost walkers in the Cheviots.They had phone contact with the police but a search by the police helicopter of the area they had given, failed to locate them.The search area was expanded and RAF SAR helicopter from Boulmer located them near Scotsmans Knowe.Conditions: Dark, cold.
25 Jan 2009 Easington
NESRA Call out 07:00. The missing person had gone out for a walk at 14.30 the day before and had not returned. Teesdale MRT had been out from 02.30 with no result.Team members searching a heavily overgrown sector, where directed to a heat source identified a by the the police helicopter using thermal imaging. The person was located unconscious and evacuated to hospital by helicopter. Unfortunatley the person passed away 2 days laterConditions: Daylight, cold.
20 Jan 2009 Cross fell
The team received a NESRA called at 06.00 to assist Teesdale MRT in a search for a Pennine way walker missing from the previous day. The walker was located near Cross fell and airlifted to safetyConditions: Dark/Light, Drifting snow, very cold.
30 Dec 2008 Morpeth
We received a call for a 81 year old male reported missing in the Morpeth area. The gentleman was located several miles away save and well.Conditions: Daylight, cold.
29 Oct 2008 Thrunton Wood
We received a call for two walkers and a dog lost in Thrunton woods. They had no torch but two mobile phones. They where located by a small team from their description of the area and the assistance of the police helicopter. The embarrassed but gratefully couple where safely returned to their holiday cottageConditions: Dark, cold.
28 Oct 2008 Harbottle
16.00 The team was called by Northumbria Police to respond to an incident at Harbottle. A man had come down from the fell and reported he had left his friend with a broken leg somewhere near the Drake stone. The man was air lifted by the GN Air ambulance.Conditions: Dusk, cold.
26 Oct 2008 Kyloe Crag
At 13.10 we received a call for a climbing accident at Kyloe it was reported that two climbers had fallen and required immediate assistance. As first team members arrived on scene, the air ambulance was already leaving the crag with one climber on board on route to hospital with lower back injuries. Only a single climber was injured and other climbers at the crag had assisted the evacuation.Conditions: Daylight, dry, cold.
23 Oct 2008 Slaley
03:00 The overhead team and team search dogs assisted police in a search in the area around Slaley Hall hotel for a missing elderly female. The missing person was located at 04:43 hrsConditions: Dark, cold.
06 Oct 2008 Slaggyford
At 09:20 overhead team was asked to attend Haltwhistle police station to advise on a search in the Slaggyford area for a missing male. He was found at 09.45 prior to team arrival on scene.Conditions: Daylight, dry, cold.
07 Sep 2008 Border Ridge
The team was called to assist 2 walkers on the Border Ridge. Due to the large scale flooding in the valleys surrounding the area, a request was made for the RAF Sea King to pick up some team members and drop them onto the ridge, while others attempted to get road access to the upper coquet valley. The helicopter team located the pair and evacuated them to hospitalConditions: Daylight, rain, flooding.
06 Sep 2008 Powburn
At 23:30 while attending the Morpeth flood incident, the team was asked to assist 2 police officers, who had been cutoff by landslides near Powburn while attempting to reach a motorist trapped in flood water. A helicopter dispatched to the location was unable to reach them due to weather conditions. The officers where lead to safety by team members.Conditions:Dark, very heavy rain, cold. Very unstable ground.
06/07 Sep 2008 Morpeth
The team was requested to assist other emergency services in a large scale evacuation of residents from Morpeth town centre, where the river Wansbeck had overtopped flood defences. Team members took on various roles in co-operation with the other services. Personnel where deployed to collect residents and transfer then to refuge centres while others provided medical care at those centres and controlled the helicopter landing sites. Over 400 residents where evacuated, over 1000 homes flooded but no major injuries. The team was later thanked by the Mayor for there efforts in the crisis.Conditions: Daylight/Dark very heavy rain, cold. Many areas flooded and impassible.
06 Sep 2008 Housteads
The team was called to Hadrians Wall to assist Ambulance service in the evacuation of a male with lower leg injuries. The injured man was stretchered off to a waiting ambulance.Conditions: Daylight, very heavy rain, cold.
05 Sep 2008 Sinderhope
The team called at 11.30 pm to locate and evacuate a beater from a shooting party with an ankle injury. The man was located by a local game keeper suffering from mild Hypothermia and a possible broken bone in his foot.Conditions: Daylight, very heavy rain, cold.
24 Aug 2008 Lesbury
At 12,45 we were called by ambulance control this time to assist with the evacuation of a walker who had fallen and had a suspected broken ankle. Although the Ambulance crew had reached the lady and treated her injuries, due to the terrain they could not carry her out. With no air cover available (as it was taking the fallen archer from the previous incident to hospital) we loaded her on to a bell and transferred her to the waiting ambulance.Conditions: Daylight, warm, sunny.
24 Aug 2008 Swarland
The team received a called at 12:10 from ambulance control to assist with the evacuation of a man who had fell down whilst carrying a wild boar target for his archery group and had suspected broken ribs. The location was difficult and the ambulance crews could not get him out. The first team members on scene advised that the fire rescue service had also arrived and we were not needed. The team was stood down.Conditions: Daylight, warm sunny.
17 Aug 2008 Dove Crag,Simonside
The team was contacted with the report of a man who had been suffering breathing difficulties on the path north of Dove crag who then became unconscious. The man was airlifted to hospital by RAF Sea King but unfortunately was pronounced dead on arrival.Conditions: Daylight.
